How old is your car?

So do you like to waste your money and destroy the environment by buying a new car? or do you believe in using up the natural resources already pulled from the earth by enjoying a better, older vehicle?

My Nova is 31 years old... I like the older cars more than the newer cars. Not many newer cars appeal to me.. and the ones that do I can't afford. Thus the older ones are my bag.

My cars all fall into different spaces.
1988 Yugo GVX, 1982 Toyota Corolla Tercel, and 1969 Subaru 360.
I could never imagine owning a car less than 10 years old, it'd just seem wastefull. The average car in the U.S. lives only 15 years, which is a disgrace. My vehicles have already or will be passing that mark (This is the year that theoretically the Yugo should be getting sent to the scrapper) The Subaru will hopefully continue giving 60mpg for many years more to come, and the Toyota has already lived a pretty life, but I think that it'll continue serving for at least another half decade (and by then it'll be considered "classic" so hopefully somebody will want it from me and keep it on the road)

I guess I shouldn't have been too surprised, after all there are people today who don't even know what a Yugo is! (It's only the most notorious hatchback of the 1980's!) Which is why I'm continously amazed that people know what a Delorean is (If the bricklin SV-1 had been a time machine in a movie, it'd probably be famous right now too)

Mine's a 1988 (obviously) but I have talked to a couple people who drive '86 models, and one who had his till 180,000 miles (on one engine) untill he rolled it on the highway - he now has another Yugo, with the same engine in it!

My dad's Renault Clio is 13 years old roughly.
It leaks when it's raining, colony of ants in the boot!
And it makes strange noises but It somehow passes it's MOT every time!

My first car was a present from my brother, which was his old car, it's a 95 RX-7. He gave it to me so that he can get his own new car.
And my dad bought me a brand new 2003 RSX this year for my birthday too.
So, my cars are 8 years old and a hand held baby.
