I have a '99 Grand Prix and the Air Conditioning is only working on the passengers side. The drivers side is coming out hot. Any ideas?

Do you have duel climate control?

Yes, it has the electronic dual climate control. Even with both sides on 60 degrees, only the passengers side gets cool, while the driver cooks. Thansk for your help.

I'm with '00 GTP, I think he's suggesting a malfuntion in your on dash temp controller. Also, just to the right of your steering wheel, there is a little vent type thing, that is your air intake for your drivers temp check(for lack of better description). Make sure it isn't blocked or dirty. I'm not sure how far into the system the actual sensor is but some compressed air might blow it out if it was a fairly dirty car.

I'm sorry I wasn't clear. I think that the problem lies with-in the duel climate controller. mabe electrically, or dirty. they are pretty sensative..

I'm also having same problem on 99 grand prix. I do not have duel climate control so would appreciate any other suggestions.

Had the same problem on my '97 ( no dual climate control). When the freon level gets too low it blows cool on the passenger side, but hot on the driver side. Ultimately had to replace the compressor.
