Best BOV for Gsx?

Anyone's free to chim in on this one, but what do you think the nicest sounding blow off valves is, i'd like to know your idea for GSX's, but i guess i'd just like to know what sounds the best over all? links to sound bytes would be nice.

I don't know what the best one is..I'm thinking (If it'll work) I'm gonna get a BOV off a porsche or a saab..you can get one for like 50 bucks and they are louder than eclipse stock bov's..if you want the loudest one get a TurboXS RFL (stands for real f#@%ing Loud)..if not, I'd go with a Greddy...

I think the Tial one sounds the best. But that's just my $.02. Have you ever heard a stock 1g BOV w/ a correctly set up motor? They scream! There's a kit out that allows you to remove your MAS & run the BOV vented to the atmosphere. I guarantee if you had this done, you wouldn't think twice about upgrading your BOV.

...A crushed 1stgen bov is very quiet. I agree about the TIAL though, very nice, if not the BEST. The only thing is you cannot go half throttle with those, or you'll purge. Anf that kit you are talking abou is called a VPC.

which BOV sounds the best and works the best then?? my uncle says the stock 2nd gen Eclipse GSX BOV is better than a Blitz BOV though, but i dunno

umm heh dude you can't even HEAR the stock BOV off a 2g gsx..I'd say just go with a Greddy or HKS bov..or like I said, look into a SAAB bov or one off a porshe I hear they are loud and only cost like 50 bucks or so..but don't quote me on that, it's just what I hear..

Only ricers should worry about what their bov sounds like. Are you all ricers? Get a stock 1g or greddy type S. If you get a K&N FIPK it gets louder. The stock airbox is keeping it quiet.

Stock 2nd gen BOV's are crap, crap, crap. Bleed boost at around 14lbs.

I think it all depends on the boost you run; My bro runs a Starlet GT Turbo on stock boost [around 10psi I think] and his cheap "no-name" BOV is actually louder than his mate's Blitz Supersound [also on a starlet running standard boost]

You might find a stock BOV is ok & pretty loud for now, but later you'll need to upgrade to something that can handle the pressure !

ummm....how can u say the stock 2g bov is good? its plastic and leaks at low boost. get a stock 1g metal bov. its not about how it sounds....its about how they dont leak valuable boost.

I never said it was good; I know as much about them as I do about free-fall parachuting [i.e. nothing] Just thought it was worth mentioning u dont have to spend silly money to get a good noise !

you can hear a 2g bov with out the stock air box because when i had mine on everyone thaught that i had a aftermarket one on but didnt but i now had a hks and i would recomend it but it is a tos up between that and the greddy type s so it is up to you they ssound somewhat simmalure and do make the wistle sound
