I just assembled my motor, block was bored 20 over, new pistons, new bearings, crank, etc.
The head was ordered from a company who rebuilds them. My problems is, i finallt got the motor all together tonight, and was filling up with coolant, and i noticed it was leaking out the back of the head, where the block and head meet. Is it possible the shop forgot a freeze plug in the back of the head ? I did notice about a 1/2 gap, that the head protruded past the block. Is that normal? Is there a end cap or something back there that i somehow missed? I didnt see one on the old one. The block was milled, so i know its not the block. Any suggestions would be greatly helpful. Time to take it back off-GRRRRRR

did you get your heater hoses hooked back up correctly? I haven't really worked on the 2.2, so i cant say for sure about the block/head lining up thing, but i would assume it only goes one way. can you see if it's coming out near the gasket area, above, or below?
