Yea i would like to try and get one setup up again this year. I know last years didn't work out so well. Im thinking maybe we could find a central location so no one has super long drives to do. Im not so sure how the eclipse is going to like a road trip anyways

Looks like West Virginia is the middle area for us all so far that's if we consider Dave might be interested. and that's one heck of a drive.

I just wanted to throw it out there. I was looking through a couple old threads that Dustin posted in and just thought that there hasn't been any talk of if this year yet.

I've been a part of planning every year and it's been in short, a bust. Don't get me wrong... I ENJOYED going to SC and MN and meeting everyone like Jay, Dusty, Foti and others. Love every second of it. We had some great times. But the planning and effort that I put into them (MN and the chi-town) for no one to show up was just not worth it IMO.
I'll be going to SC again sometime this year on vacation and visiting Jay, going to Ohio to see Brian. He should be coming here too, but all for non-DSM related trips. I was actually considering going to the big DSM meet in Ohio in August though, the yearly one off Tuners. That seems like a lot of fun since it's a ton of people all about our cars.

If your serious about going, then I'm more likely to go. It would be cool to know someone from here at the OH show. I've been considering that one and the huge show in Carlisle, PA.

I told you we have to drink and party it up. I really plan on coming down there and getting wasted. Find some hos. But 100% I'm coming down, either flying or driving. We need to figure out a good date for this btw.

I'm pretty sure I'm going... at long as the car is working properly.

I'm just still debating if I want to take the GSX or the subbie? The only way I will take the GSX is if I get her tuned good enough not to worry about knock or complete engine failure. Also, I think if I go then so is the rest of the family...not sure how to get out of that one...:uhoh:

It's not necessarily the family thing...it's driving several ours in a possibly unrealiable DSM with a 3.5 and 5 year old. Not a lot of fun.

I would like to do something this year as long as things work out better for me this year... Part of my whole deal is that I won't have much vacation time this summer. I can take an extended weekend or two but that will be about it. I got a new position at work which I should be starting around May or it could get pushed back to June even. It kinda of depends how long it takes them to find my replacement so I can train them in before I start my new hours which will FINALLY be Mon-Fri day shift... It'll be nice to have normal hours...
The other big thing for me is... I'm actually buying a house. I got a call this morning that all the inspections passed on the home and it sounds like my offer was the highest on this house so now I just have to wait for the whole process to go through at the bank. We are trying to get the deal closed before the end of April so I get that first time home buyers credit too. I'm pretty stoked about it. It may keep me too busy/financially tight to do any traveling this year.
However... The plus side is that I will be living about 10 minutes from the dragstrip and there are several places around here to camp/fish/etc. Or there is always my place so long as everything goes smooth on the rest of the process. There would be plenty of room there if we are only gonna have a handful of people like usual...
I'll be able to let you guys know more for sure by the end of April...
Did I mention is has a huge 2 car garage?

Thanks guys. The garage large enough to work in was a must for me. I also didn't want to be right in town with neighbors like 5 feet from me. It's kinda nice being on the outskirts of town with a little privacy. Once I know for sure that everything is legit and I get it, I'll be posting up some pictures of things. I really don't have to do too much work on it but I'm going to do some things anyways just to make it really nice... It even has a firepit there so I'll be able to have bonfires and such. I'm pretty stoked about that. lol
So back on topic here, are we really wanting to have this in more of a central location this year like OH, PA, WV area?
Also, when are we wanting to aim to do this again? July, August?
I would say June but if for some reason we decide to have it here, I would like to get the house ready before that date and I didn't plan on moving into it until I got things done in it first which was gonna be a month or two after I get it.
How many are we looking at to be attending? Just the same usual group of 3-6 people? Maybe somebody can shake Dustin out from under the rug and get him to come this year. lol

PA, OH area is great for me. If it's my and fam then we will just stay/sleep in a motel/hotel cause there's 4 of us and I wouldn't put that burden on anyone else.
I have 2 wks vaca this year so whenever you guys want to do it works for me. Just need time to save up some loot and what not.

Whenever/whenever for me. I'm planning a vaca in June and maybe another in September, so probably not good to do 2 in the same month lol. I can usually count as 2 people.. hate long trips by myself.

Who the hell offers way more than the asking price of a house?
Somebody else got the house after everyone involved made it sound like I had it... Bah... F*ck the market...

Well, Brian does make house calls
That sucks about the job. I got lucky... I sit around and do nothing all day and get paid for it. Get boring though.
