manuel or auto you did not say but here are some tips some time excesive grease stop them from engagment pull them a cleane them up and lightly grease them they are realy simple if you look and see how they work and is your tranfer case engaging the hub realy on the rotation of the axles to engage. jack the truck up and manuely rotate the drive shaft to see if they engage
