Escort 8500 X50

I just bought a used 8500. I wanted a Valentine 1, but I didn't want to pay out the cash. Does anyone else have an 8500, if so, what do you think about it?

I have a passport and my father as a v1. When i drive with his it just ends up pissing me off because it goes off so often. Sure there are directional arrows but who wants to be constantly looking at their radar detector. One of the nice things about the passport that you are not able to do with the v1 is that you are able to turn x-band off, which no one uses and where i live the cops don't use k-band either only ka and laser so i obviously have k-band turned off as well. If I were you I would keep the x50 and invest in a blinder m47 as well for jamming laser.
