The engine has changed a bit since those pictures were taken. It has been upgraded to dual Weber 40 IDF carbs (see above).
Also, the paint has started peeling since those pictures were taken. I had to partially rip up the carpet and replace the main wiring harness after the ignition switch shorted and melted the original wiring harness.
There is light rust along the bottom of the doors and on one fender. There is a small dent in the front right fender where someone bumped me on the highway, barely noticable. While taking a seat out, I put a hole in the left rear taillight.

Random Stuff
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- 6v Eberspaecher gasoline powered heater. Needs fuel lines replaced.
- New chrome torsion bar covers for any year bug or ghia. You can see them
in the first picture under the SunBug section.
- Valve spring compressor. Very useful for rebuilding heads.
- many, many VW valve stem guides. Probably 2 or 3 dozen worth.
- Several carbs, including a weber 32/36 DFAV.
- EMPI valve covers with good seals. Should fit any T1.
- 2 or 3 manuals
- 2 or 3 yrs worth of VW magazines from the early 90s.
- 2 new taillights for an early '74 beetle. I bought them to replace the holed
taillight in the SunBug, but they do not fit.
- The complete original air conditioning for the SunBug. The compressor still
turns freely and has oil. I have never installed it to see if it still works.
- Other random stuff.
- New S1B turbo
The SunBug was my first car, and I took very good care of it. However, recently I haven't had much time to drive it, and it has sat outside for the past 2 years. I do start it up and drive it into town and back from time to time, but not enough to justify keeping it. It is time to let it go to someone else who will enjoy it as much as I have. This is a perfect car to restore or to make into a daily driver with minimal work.
The convertable was bought as a project car about 4 years ago. The chassis is complete, and in excellent shape. The body needs some major work though. If you have another std beetle (or std convertable) and need to replace the chassis, this would be a very economical way to completely upgrade the running gear. If you want a car that you can hack, chop, and modify without worrying about ruining a nice looking original, this is a great basis for that. I had originally planned on making it into a yellow/cream speed demon (think turbo) with blade bumpers and a white interior. Unfortunatly, I ran out of energy doing the bodywork, and now I don't have the time to finish it.
I'm asking $5500 OBO for everything. I will not split this up, everything must be taken.
More pictures are available upon request. Feel free to ask any questions.
