94 lhs rack & pinion

I'm going to attempt to put a new rack & pinion in my 94 chrysler lhs can anyone give me some help/advice on doing this.How do I bleed the rack & pinion and drain the lines of old fluids.I have never tried this before but mechanic wants $400 to do the job and that is a little steep for my pocket right now.
