did u check to see if u still have antifreeze, cuz if your leaking an you ran out that could cause the overheating. Also, if your out of antifreeze that would explain y ur tem gauge didnt show it cuz it shows the temp of the radiator fluid.

does ur engine smoke, coz if it doesnt and ur losing oil, then the headgasket could be gone, is the cap on your valve cover got any milky oil on it?

nah the engine doesn't smoke and the radiator resovior is full.
last night on the way home im accelrating like normal and i put it into secong gear and the car shakes and the check engine like comes on and then the battery and oil lights come on thats when i noticed the car had shut itself off so i pop the hood check the spark plugs and battery cables and my negative battery cable was loose so i put a screw in between it to tighten it and i start the car and it started just fine i don't know whats wrong with it.

just because you have fluid in your radiator resevior, doesn't mean you have any fluid in your system. if your radiator cap has gone bad along w/ the fluid leaked out, then you could have a full radiator resevior and no fluid in the system, and the fluid in the resevior wouldn't get sucked back into the system like it's supposed to.
