hey man!
i think your Jag looks pretty good!
i will agree that the interior needs to be more a flat or semi gloss
but i don't mind the colour of it
chassis looks clean
do you have any pics of the body?

1. First of all - where have you seen the color scheme like that? You should use photos of real XJ220 as a guide for interior, exterior and engine compartment too.
2. The interior is too gloss.
3. You should be more accurate and attentive to details as you decide to start wiring your models.
Good luck.
I find this a little bit to harsh. You don't have to use pictures of real cars as a guide, unless you want to make a realistic reproduction. If you just want to have fun, paint it in the colours you like, detail it like you will! If you want a orange engine bay... just do it! I have made several cars with "imaginary" colour schemes. I even once painted a ferrari f1 model in Mclaren colours!! (Yes, I know blasphemy;-). As long as it looks good ;-)

Agreed.
I think you did a great job, it looks great and it seems you had fun building it.
One of the great things about model making is how you can create alternate concepts, hell you could paint the body in acid yellow if you wanted to, its your model, your creation.
Reminds me a lot of the guy who got trashed for decorating his SLR in pure carbon fiber. I admit I didn't think it looked soo great, but you had to admire the guy for the skill in his decal application.
anyways is there any chance we could see a pic of the body too?

I think you need to sit back and concider what your comments imply:headshake
I notice you are a newbie yourself and although that might not mean that you are new to modeling just concider the other guys feelings, if he wants to paint his model sky blue pink with polka dots then he can, its his model.:angryfire
I have not posted here for a while but this outburst got my attention and made me want to excecise my two typing fingers I say you should apologise for the insulting tone of your post.
DRIFT FC you carry on doing what you want with your model.:ylsuper:

I must admit, I was less than amazed by the full size pics. But the attention to the details provided in the kit, and the colors used (not all black, not all silver) I would say that with a bit of coaching, you will be quite a good builder in the VERY near future.

It appears you hand brushed many of the parts and they came out well considering that the brush strokes are not very visible. I'd strongly suggest you invest in some masking tape so you can have a clean line as it looks like your silver diffuser went a bit wobbly. Waiting for the body pics :)

mate, keep it up!
sounds like you enjoy your building as you should!
the more you build the better you get
and keep posting your cars as you finish them
it's always good to see modelers work and how they progress

Thats pretty nice! I would just give a few suggestions. You could make the body less rough by polishing it -- it might be the picture thats just makes it rough. Also by your rear diffuser if you take a tiny bit of acrylic thinner (or rubbing alcohol) it will give a smoother look with less brush strokes. Other wise you have a very nice build!
Now, about my builds :S :P

For a brushpainted build this really looks good.
I mean, we all started like this. Well, at least I did. And to be honest, I can remember that my first attempts didn't look half as good.
The most important thing, indeed, is to have fun.
And along the way, with the help of the people on this forum you'll learn all the tricks to hone your skills.
Just keep on building !
