teens that have to prove something..

Hey, this actually happened a few months ago, but it still makes me angry to think about it. This is an incredibly long post, so lots of you won't want to read it. ;)

What is it with teens these days? Specifically male teenagers, do they feel they have to prove something to other people by attacking other male teenagers? Anyways here is the story.

There is a 24 hour internet gaming place that had recently opened up that me and my friends went to once in awhile to play games and just in general have fun. Anyways, one night I was there with my brother, his friend, and 2 of my friends. We are all in the 17-19 year old range.

So there we are, playing games when a group of about 5 guys come in and start insulting us a bit. Calling us geeks etc. (even though they play there too..). I knew 2 of the guys that were insulting us, well.. mainly me. I had never had any problem with them, nor have they had a problem with me. So I turn around and just try to talk to them, get them to calm down kinda. One of the guys takes a look at the Marilyn Manson shirt I am wearing and then they all start insulting me and my musical taste. Well after talking for a bit, I turn around and start playing a bit. One of the guys pours a bottle of coke over my head, which spills all over my clothes and the new leather jacket I was wearing. So I get up and snap at him, I didn't hit him or anything, though I should've. I just yelled at him and his friends. My brother and his friend saw this and they came to back me up. My brother and his friend are pretty big guys, so naturally the guy does a fake apology.

After I get all the coke out of my hair I go back to hanging out with my friends. An hour later the teens came back, except this time they brought over 12 of their friends.. I turn around as one of them insults me and i'm instantly punched in the face twice. A huge brawl then follows as my brother and his friend charge in and pound the kid that poured coke on me. As everyone would've guessed.. 17-22 guys did kick our asses for no reason at all other than to pick a fight.

I can't stand this attitude that half of the male teenage population has. Why do they insist on pestering people and calling all their buddies to ambush us for no reason? Not to mention damage other peoples property. I had to buy new glasses, cause mine were demolished obviously. And on their way out they pushed over some computers and threw beer bottles at cars outside.

These kids can't even fight for themselves, I can't stand how fucking cowardly the youth of the world are today.

They are just lucky me and my brother aren't like them. Me and my brother alone have a small army of strong friends that would gladly send those kids to the hospital.

Anyways, sorry for the huge post, but I had to get this out of me. Its been 5 months since it happened and still when I think about it I get pissed off. Just the imagery of my brother on the ground being kicked in the head by a bunch of little shits makes me incredibly mad.

I.e, your brother and his friend should identified the kid who poured coke on you... all three of you drag that kid out (despite the opposing group being larger, they can't do anything anything when three ppl pound on one...) and beat the shit out of that one kid, ignoring the others. It's sorta like using fear and terror tactics.... :D

If any of the guys attacking you were 18 or older and you're under 18, get the cops. Have the assholes arrested and they'll think twice about assaulting a minor. Don't think that this will make things worse. They cant get any worse. From now on they think of you as open game so the only way to fight back against a group like that is to get the local law on your side.

If you ask somebody who's been working in schools for a long time, they'll probably tell you that kids fight less now than they did 20 years ago... they'll also probably tell you that drug useage has increased.

But back to your topic, you'll find that many teens are extremely insecure and need to feel big or important. For some of the ones with less than average IQ's the easiest way to accomplish this is by beating up other people. It's this sort of senseless idiocy that really makes you think that they really deserve a full frontal lobotomy, or at least that's what I thought...

That sux dude. There are a lot of stupid teens out there. At the high school I went to there was always that group that would fight people just b/c, it didn't matter who you were. Luckily I was cool with all of them though. But some people just don't click with people like that and get the bad end of it. Hope you find away to get them back.

People that do that piss the shit out of me. I had a guy like that that I knew and He tried that shit, just tried picken a fight for the hell of it. He pissed with me on a bad day and I broke his nose. Luckily his parents had no problem with it as he's a problem for them as well. Definately get the police involved if you are a minor and they are over 18. Carry a knife with you whenever you go to that place and if they try shit, whip it out and see if they wanna fuck with you. If they still attack you and you by chance do use that knife, it's self defense and they got what they had coming.

Personally, I'd advise you not to carry a knife. You never know who's carrying a gun in todays society. Plus, if you use the knife it can be in self defense but could get you in more trouble than its worth.

Well, I never said he HAD to. It's just a thought, I myself carry one because people in my area are just plain assholes and fight with anyone they want.

I totally understand what you were saying now. Sometimes you just have to do things like that.

Unfortunately so many are like that. And when you get them on their own the little cowards won't even look you in the eye. It's just insecurity, so many teens in NZ are like that, all agressive with their friends but timid on their own. It's ridiculous. They pick fights for the hell of it.

Yea, we didn't bother doing anything, partly because my brother and his friends are all over 18, and most of the kids there were 16-17.

Speaking of the kid that started the whole thing with me. I saw him yesterday ;). I was driving to a friends house when I see him walking down the street by himself, I glared at him for a good 10 seconds he slowly started walking faster :). I think the fact that i'm over a foot taller than him and look pretty scary might've contributed to his speeding up.. I would've gotten out of my car and kicked his ass but I was going to see my girlfriend that night and she doesn't like it when I get in fights ;).

1. don't tell people how to live their lives!! if he wants to listen to that stuff, he can! pop and rap both suck! when people try to tell me to listen to it, i tell them to shut up because i like the music that i like and no-one can change that. also, if he chooses to spend his time on a computer, LET HIM! some people just aren't good at sports and have a knack for computer stuff. i personally try to balance both.

Changing how you live your life (that is not interfering with anyone else) to avoid a confrontation is a sad alternative.

i agree, but this guy is acting like he didn't set himself up to be made fun of. I simply pointed out the "different" things about him and gave some easy solutions so that he can be normal (and if u wanna say that theres no such thing as normal, then average).

Lol, I can't believe this.. you're saying I should change my life so I can avoid a confrontation? First off, I do have contacts but it gets tiresome putting them in/taking them out daily. Secondly, I listen to Marilyn Manson because I like his music, i'm not gonna listen to some hip hop or rap to be "popular". I am popular, I don't have to pretend to like something to be it though. Thirdly, don't call me a computer nerd when you don't even know me. Going to a computer gaming place 3 times in 2 months.. hmm, yea.. maybe I should cut back. Also the only reason my ass was "kicked" is because there were so many of them. Although I did beat the shit out of one of them. I can more than fend for myself, but there isn't much you can do when you are outnumbered so greatly.

Also when you say we are contradicting ourselves by going after one person in the group... that would be the smart thing to do. They focus on a few people, so you should to in order to atleast do some damage back. Like I said, the kid that started it all is terrified of me now, probably cause I got him fairly decently and my brother owned him.

u shud just forgit that is there any ways im just like u i listin to rammstein and hardrock and i dress in black and git called a gothing ( i only were a black shert and black pants like 1s a week if that) i git shit from my family all the time but dont let it git 2 u (is it ever does)but any way back 2 the 1st subject i think that ppls who start fight are just dum shits who hav nothing better 2 do then try and scare ppl i would just git every 1 of them 1 by 1 but thats me

Didnt read the whole thing, but i also hate people who want to fight for no reason. Like last night (Well, this morning really), someone wanted to start shit with me when I was drunk and sittin down. A friend of mine stepped in for me, and this guy just started fightin him for no reason. Good thing it got broken up pretty quick.

Ok, the thing is, I have seen some of the guys involved over the last few months.. but i'm not like them. Sure I was pissed off that they did that to us for no reason, but I don't feel like starting anything. Also these guys aren't tough at all, it was just the fact that there were so many of them and we were ambushed. I doubt I would have any problem taking out any of them one on one.

I can tell you one thing though, if these guys try to start something again with me and my brother, we'll end it fast. I'm not gonna take anymore shit from these guys, but i'm also not gonna try to aggravate them.

90CorollaSR5, you can't eat the bag of chips as a whole, you have to open it and eat them one by one so you can get rid of the chips... you should already understand what I'm saying. ;)

See the guy agian, do what he did to you. 2 wrongs don't make a right but in this case, scaring him like that will make him think twice about starting a fight with someone else. You should'nt fight in public though. Main reason bieng, well... it's embarassing. At least for me. Sometimes, you DO have to fight, every fight can't be ignored. Like I said before... eat those chips one by one... ;)

The only way to deal with certain people is with real force. I'm talking fifteen guys, crowbars, baseball bats, whatever. From personal experience. It's much better for everyone when things can be settled another way. But sometimes there is no option.

ESPECIALLY middle-school kids. When I was in middle-school about 5 years ago, alot of people would start fights just to prove themselves. Then they come into high-school thinking they're cool because they were the oldest ones in middle-school, they'll start fights with juniors and get thier asses kicked and they'll behave for the rest of thier high-school times. :icon16:

Well, now there is something to get the blood going, couple of years ago, i was sitting in a club, and out of no-where about a dozen guys (shrimpy) guys, walked up to me and few mates sitting just relaxing.

Where out of nowhere the "ring-leader" of the pack grabs me, and drags me up to him, and proceeds to insult me..... aint it just pitiful how they can resort to name calling to make themselves look big *sighs*....

listen man what you gotta do is get together a group of people who dont like these kids, you can always find some people, and just jump the hell out of these damn pussies. if you cant find enough people who dont like him, just go find the group of kids in your school who like to fight for the hell of it. that is what my friend had to do and we ended up with a 40 person fight.

Actually, the weekend after they attacked us we were planning a huge counter-attack. Me and my brother rounded up a bunch of our friends, and we had over 40 guys ready to fight. But then someone started talking about the fight and it got around all the local schools very quickly and when we went to scope out the area where they were there were 5 cop cars just waiting in the parking lot. So nothing happened that night obviously.

dude, i know that this might sound sane but if someone did me like that every time i saw him i would fight him. Even if its just you, and there are 3-4-5 of them , hit that little fuck in the face. make him know that you arent scared. but only do this if he's trying to make fun of you ie:pointing and laughing. i didnt have now older brothers but after 4-5 fights not only could i hand with the best but people knew if they talked shit it would be a fight and that i wouldn't try to talk my way out of it. I couldn't agree with you more. If he needs some kind of defence, get a taser or some mace. It is perfectly legal to have either or both.

man i hate when someone even mentions mace, it brings up bad memories. about a year ago someone i just met was getting something off of me behind a bi-lo and all of the sudden he maced me. ohh my god, if any body has been maced before they feel me when i say you experience HELL. i started swinging and shit cause I thought the dude was going to kill me. he beet the shit out of me and robs me for what he wanted to get and the asswhole even takes my shoes and cd's.
