Frount of the cars alright........

http://files.automotiveforums.com/uploads/588941Civicwrecked2.jpg
The drivers side where I got hit first, I guess the car that hit me was doing about 30kph, according to the insurance assesor this was enough to write the car off. I remember thinking when she hit me that the car would be written off. The sill is bent, and the door is pushed in so far its pushed the drivers seat over about 5 degrees which has bent the floor up.
This impact turned the car 90 degree clockwise, but it continued traveling in the same direction, just going sideways.

The back of the car, its all bent, even the hatch is twisted out of shape, it popped open when I hit the pole and as the car spun all my groceries were sprayed accross the road.

The real damage.
This is from the pole.
Note the paint on the door where the car first hit the pole, lifted up in the air and traveled forward till it hit the crumple zone where it went into the side of the car, caught on the reinforced area where the back suspension is mounted and flicked the car off the pole and spun it 180 degrees counter clockwise in mid air before landing on its wheels and stopping.

Another angle. :(
Note the angle of the back wheel. The suspension trailing arm, and mount are actualy sitting on the ground. As is the left hand side of the fuel tank which was split at the top and twisted and bent. Had to call the fire brigade before it could go on the tow truck.

Close up of the damage on the left hand side.
Note how the sill was split wide open.
You can see the fuel lines, window washer hose and sound deadening.
The back of the car in frount of the back seat filled up with water and fuel from the broken lines and fuel tank.
The B pilliar is sitting in left hand side of the back seat. If someone had been sitting there it would have been in the middle of thier lap.

And finaly the pole that I hit that did all the damage.

The insurance company has of course written the car off, and said it was not my fault (doh!) and forunatly the person who hit me has insrance so I dont lose my excess.

Now all Im waiting for is the assesor to get back to me with a valuation so I can get some money and go and find another car.

at least the poles bent :D I hate when you hit something and it fucks up your car but doesnt shit happen to what you hit ... unless of course you rear end someone or it was your fault, then you hope nothing happens to the other car ;)

Anyways, hopefully the search goes well.

Hey guys, Its a bit of a mess aye.

The frount clip is perfect, unforunatly all the interior is wrecked, even the dash and center consol are bent and broken.
Both frount seats are wrecked, and the back seat is, well fucked.

I offered to buy the car back, but it goes up for tender, due to the rarity of the cars here, and the fact that the wreckers can sell them for lots of over seas (i.e to you suckers in the US) it's likly to go for well over NZ$1,000. Which is way more than can I afford, I would rather use the money to find another car.

I dont know if Ill try and find another EF9, they are hard to find here, and getting old. An EF8 would be nice, smaller and more agile = faster. :D
Otherwise I know a few ppl who can import cars directly from Japan, so Ill see what they cn find.
Ill either get another Honda, an older 180sx/Silvia, or something totaly differnt, prehaps an old Holden Panel van, or another old Triumph, or even but a $500 shitta to get me around, and put the money into my kit car.

Sorry to see the shopping cart go, Mops...at least it was doing what it loved..carrying groceries. :( Hope you get a good amount from the insurance co. and are able to put yourself back in something you love. :( I know how it is, I totaled a car once and for the 4 days I was carless it was horrible. I couldn't think about anything else.
