Specific Engine Threads

As many have noticed, on auto parts websites, after you enter the year, make, and model of your car, the website automatically lists possible engine sizes for your y/m/m vehicle.

These forums need to incorporate this database of vehicles, and using that data, automatically create links to the possible engines as a subforum for each vehicle forum. I will use one of my vehicles for example.

Chevy Lumina.

The database will pull all possible engines for that car, and provide a link to each engine within the Lumina forum.

I am thinking a thin bar in the forum header, with each possible engine: 2.5L, 3.1L, 3.4L, 3.8L....

these links lead to engine specific forums. A 3.1L forum, 3.4L forum, etc. This helps pool the questions to a larger pool of owners of that engine. This could help some of the less active forums as well, by providing them an easy avenue of discussion with their common engine type.

A link to the 3.1L forum will be visible in the Lumina, Malibu, Grand Prix, Monte Carlo, etc forums, the link to the 2.8L forum will be visible in Lumina, Regal, Corsica, Grand Prix, forums, as well as other vehicles that use the 3.1L or 2.8L.

I wouldn't subdivide any further (as in generation 2, gen 3 L82 & LG8) if a poster wants to include whether it's vin-m or vin-j that is entirely up to the poster) otherwise all 3.1L types are pooled in a single forum.
