thats awesome man, i love the damage, looks authentic. Turbo looks great, thats the same exact method i use for making my scratch-built turbos. What size solder are you usnig there? looks to be about .1xx inches in diameter?

thanks, this is the first time ive done the rust and beat up look on a model, i dont think it turned out to bad. the solder is .118 diameter. i think it might be a little big..?

you should paint the hood black too to add to your red door. just a suggestion...

great job so far. LOVE the damage. Did you just heat it up?

thanks, i was thinkin about the black hood too, yea i just took a lighter to it to soften it and then smashed it against the table

I like it! It's nice to see a drift car that looks like it's actually been used well.

That damage looks so real. It's not uncommon that drifters get a little worn in battle. That looks like a practice car for someone who's going to race in a drift series. But OMG that turbo looks big and the engine is so small. But all in all nice job! Keep it comming!

thanks guys! yea the turbo is a little big, im gonna re make it when i can get a chance to get some smaller solder.

the rust technique is actually pretty easy, this is where i got it from http://www.scalemodelguide.com/guide/painting/salt-weathering/

the hood will be flat black and im thinking of doing the opposite fender a light blue, do you guys think that would be too much??

also anyone have good tips to help e with the dirtying up of this beast?? thanks!

What size solder is that again? It looks perfect for modeling applications I might have to pick some up soon
