97 GA original radio replacement

I am trying to find on line radio that will fit exactly into the space when I remove my original radio. So is that double din size, or 1.5 din?
I know that there are plastic adapters for the standard size but I don't like that plastic look so I would rather buy aftermarket with the same size just don't know what to look for double din or 1.5 din or what ever din size that is.
If someone already knows nice radio that will fit let me know thx - 3100
- I already have ken wood aftermarket installed under the pcm but for some reason display went out, now I am looking for larger size alpine with gps and dvd if possible that will fit without any panel modifications.
also have some electrical gauges from sunpro, and does anyone know place where I can order triple pillar pod for 97 GA?
