1994 Eclipse 1.8L

There is a guy selling a 94 eclipse 1.8L dont know the model. He says the car starts runs and drives but when it warms up the car shuts off, he tells me its the ECU/ECM. Any knowledge on this problem would be nice. I would like to find out a little bit more before i jump into this project, if its the ECU/ECM ive seen them for about 120$ but what else could it be?

it could be as simple as a good old seafoam cleaning or maybe a iac (idle air control) sensor or carbon build up around the iac

I would be betting on the ECU just from that info. My roomates car was doing the same thing, it would run perfect when cold but after it got really hot it would throw a CEL for the injector circuit and shut off the fuel. Does it have a CEL?

No idea if it has a CEL, the guy sold the car anyway. Was just brushing up on some of the problems in case i decided to buy it.
