best bumper paint

i dont want to fork out a couple hundred right now to get the new bumper painted because im trying to save money right now. is there a good paint out there i can use to get by with for now? quality and color match. and also, is there a paint hardener, or something i can spray on the bumper after its finished to help keep the paint from chipping. since its the front bumper its going to get hit by a lot of debris.

i prefer knowledge from personal experience, but any help will be great

any regular paint will do with a hardener that matches.

do you know any specifically? i went to kragens and they had a good selection of krylon and duplicolor. i saw the primer and paint i would need... but what about the hardener? is there even such a thing, if so, whats it called exactly? cause i didnt see anything called paint hardener.

well i wouldn't go with any of the paints above:

Duplicolor: water will wash it with time
Krylon: chips (not my experience)

I have used them before, color match is perfect, prices are reasonable.

The only true paint hardener your going to find is mixed into the clear coat at your local body shop (Glasurit, PPG, etc.). If you go with Krylon or any thing like that, do it knowing its only temporary and you won't be as dissapointed. Also, be careful. When and if you do get it painted (the right way), most body shops aren't going to want to touch it with a laquer sprayed on it. It's a pain in the A$$ to strip :xelicon:
