rear bumper repair/replace

Need advice on the repair/replacement of my daughter's 2003 Neon's rear bumper.
It has a few minor cracks in it. They seem to be only cosmetic. How best to repair these cracks? How difficult is it to replace the bumper with a used one from a junk yard, excuse me, auto recycling center ;^)
