I am getting P171 and P174 codes on my Ford E350 Triton v10 engine. This is a motorhome that I recently purchased. Mileage about 57000 and I don’t know if/when any service was done. No codes when I bought it and it probably was sitting for a 2 or 3 months. Drove it about 20 miles and got the codes. Erased them and they came back in 10 to 20 miles.
I plan on checking/changing the air and fuel filters for a start. All vacuum hoses appear to be in good shape but I will recheck them.
My question is aside from the above and checking/cleaning or possibly replacing the MAF sensor and EGR valve does anyone have any other ideas before tearing into the intake manifold job.
Also the engine is running pretty well in spite of these codes so If I’m not able to solve it right away is this a show stopper from using it on a few trips (within 100 to 200 miles) this spring?
Thanks
