I just bought a 1994 eagle talon. :banghead: I put a new battery and a used 5 speed tranny. When I started it, it was running at 2000rpms and after it warmed up it started going from 1500 to 2000 up and down. So I added coolant. It worked:smooch:. The car went down to 1500rpms. but its still at high idle. I adjusted the idle screw all the way. also the coolant light is on. I think its the Idle speed sensor, coolent temp sensor, or the tps. If anyone has had this problem please help. Thanks.

Welcome to AF!
I would buy a Haynes manual and look at the proper way to test the IAC. Low coolant should not affect idle at all (unless it's overheating), and that seems to be a seperate problem. The manual will show how to check for proper resistance, and then how to replace. The high idle could also just be a result of a dirty throttle body, bad throttle body gasket, or a vacuum leak.
