Looking For Body Parts

"OOPPS happens" driving has caused the need for some body parts:eek:

My car is a GTRA with a fiberglass body. I am looking for the left rear corner. My body is the style where the left rear corner is one piece from the door around to the center of the rear facia/bumper. It would not hurt to have a front nose also. My front nose is repairable but it never hurts to have a spare.

Any leads are helpful.

Good luck, we really need to find a new "REASONABLE" source for body parts, that's the one part of these cars that will be a HUGE pain as time goes by!

i've asked my neighbor 5 times to give me the damn name of his buddy that can do molds.... I'll call him again in the AM...

Mike, I think we need to see this carnage. Are we talking "busted" or "torn up"?

mike, i have a car minus an engine if you want it... not to make fun of the pain, but, just in case you are interested.

I will try those contacts today. The guy I bought the car from (Randall Cash, located close to Road Atlanta) told me he had some body panels and the mold to make more. He worked for the Road Atlanta school. The problem is, he will not return any calls or e-mails. If anyone knows him or how to contact him let me know.

My car is just busted a little. NO major damage below fiberglass. We have a big eventy in five weeks, so a new left rear panel would save a lot of time.

As far as the future of body work. We have been a race shop for many years and we have in the past and could handle molds and manufacture of parts. The problem is to keep the cost down of the tons of hours and repeditive mold making to get to a quality part, we need a PERFECT part to start with. One copy to make the mold and quality parts from there on out.

Gary told me he did have the molds,and gave them back to Panoz. I got prices from Josh. All the parts added up $10,000 ABS

I understood that Gary Jones was working with someone on making fiberglass front noses. Maybe check with him on status of that. I still need one for my WC car as well.

PAD did get the molds back from Gary Jones who told me they were in poor shape, but probably usable. I think PAD can make the fiberglass parts as ordered but have none on hand. No idea of the cost.
