Boost control

I have a quick question if anyone knows, If i do trubo charge my 2.2l how far can i turn the boost up too with out having to make mods to my engine. I have heard 8, or is it different on certian turbos? And also is there anyway of telling what my hp increase would be with a trubo on 7 or 8?

At 8 lb of boost you would probably be close to 210 - 220 HP. If you do decide to go with a turbo, just get yourself a boost controller. That way you can drive around town with a low boost setting, and only jack up the boost to 8 lb when racing..... it'll prolong engine life anyway.
