Hi all,
I own a 1999 Lincoln continental that is in need of timing chain guides. I managed to remove the valve covers from both sides and was hoping to be able to replace the guides from there. It looks like I would have to remove the timing chain covers to replace the guides. In order to remove the chain covers I will have to pull the engine. Does anyone know the easiest way to get this engine out of the car. It looks like I would have to drop the engine from the bottom but I don’t know what all is involved in doing so. Any input would be helpful other than take it to the dealer because I am up for the challenge.

Thanks for the offer and the info. I just broke down and had a mecanic do the work for me. Runs great now. $2000 to do the job.
