92 Radiator removal

OK. My 92 Taurus needs a new radiator. I have a everything disconnected except the lower trans cooler line located on the bottom, passenger side of the radiator. I can see no way to get wrenches into the area. Am I missing something obvious (wouldn't be the first time). Also, is it necessary to disconnect the alternator wires for clearance? Thanks for any suggestions!

Is the radiator still mounted in the brackets?? Lift the radiator up, should give you clearance for that bottom fitting, It is real tight in that area. Works for my 94, figured there had to be an easier way to get a wrench in there. Same thing when you re-assemble, tighten the bottom fitting before setting the rad down. The book doesn't tell you this, as usual..

TKing, thanks. Looked up from the bottom and you're right. Very, very tight. Lots of A/C plumbing in the way, but it seems better than trying to access it from the top. Almost fainted when I found the price of replacing that line, if you can even find one.

You can do this from the top, no need to get on the ground
