airbag code

My sport trac is flashing a code 4-3 have not found this code in any web page and hoped someone here would reconize that code. The light stays on after it flashes the code. This is really anoying to me plz help thank you :eek7:

What year is your Sport Trac? Lamp Fault Code (LFC) 43 probably means "Restraint System — Impact Sensor Status (Driver Side Impact Sensor Circuit Failure)" but knowing the model year would help confirm this.

2004 gen 1

For 2004 the code definition changed to "Restraint System — Impact Sensor Status (Driver Side Front Row Impact Sensor Circuit Failure)".

thanks but this morning the airbag light flased a code 4-2 is there multiple problems and do you know how to fix these problems thanks again

I'd suspect that one of these mornings you miscounted, or this is an elaborate plan to get me to post all the SRS codes, one at a time. ;)

LFC 42 is "Restraint System — Impact Sensor Status (Front Impact Severity Sensor Circuit Failure)". I'd start by making sure the sensor has a good, clean ground to the chassis.
