99 Ranger getting terrible milage

I have a 99 Ranger with the 4.0 liter V-6. Lately its been only getting 10-12 Mpg and its 90 percent highway milage. The truck has 130 K on it and it starts hard and runs rough for a few minutes before it smooths out. What should I be looking for to solve this problem? Thanks
