I have troubleshooted my blower motor and replaced the resister for the blower . It didn't fix the problem . The hvac control module for the blower speed setting knob , rear defogger button , ac button and cruise control don't work more than works. So by reading on the forum here , it seems to boil down to the ignition switch , as it is probably arching as the voltage changes from 12 to 2 volts for the blower motor etc.
I would like to find out the easiest way to replace the ignition switch . I live in Ontario , Just wondered too where is the most reasonable price for a ignition switch .

I appreciate the support

Thankyou

Just curious, did you use a testlite on the applicable fuses?

I tested all fuses and they are all ok . The hvac for blower , rear defogger , ac and cruise control works sometimes ,a mind of its own .

Your symptoms are consistent with a bad ignition switch and harness assembly. Do you have a column shifter on your Century?

I have a column shift and it is a 3.1 v6
I double checked the fuses they are good .With test light when ignition in run position there was no power for fuses low blower and hvac . the 30 amp high blower`fuse has power but blower will not work in high position .
If it is ignition switch where would be a good place to get one at a reasonable price ? I am in Ontario Canada

I couldn't wait any longer ,needed my wheels and don't want to get stranded out the middle of nowhere on some lonely road if the ignition switch decided to mutate into a cancer LOL . I am getting up there in age and didn't feel like engaging the airbag wiring or something in case I cut or pinch a wire while doing the r & r , so I took the car into the garage with the ignition switch and told them to replace it only .So I just payed for labor. Didn't have to pay for diagnosis , at least I saved a 100 bucks or so by going on this forum and getting some info helped out alot . I like to Thankyous .

Oh by the way the problems are gone away :) In remission for the time been knock on wood .
