96 lumina replaced fuel pump AND RELAY just wont start

96 lumina i installed a new fuel pump and relay but still wont start cant here fuel pump run when i turn on key checked all fuse there all OK any help will be grateful been trying to figure it out just cant HELP PLEASE it only has 54,000 miles on it

fuel pump relay is in the fuse box/power dist box in the engine compartment, id go there first. see if its clicking. see if u have problem with relay coil or contacts or if the coil just isnt getting energized.

oil pressure switch i think will also activate the fuel pump if the fuel pump relay is bad... so if you can crank it a couple seconds til oil pressure builds a little, engine should start once that fuel pump kicks in. if you can start it like this, then u have problem with relay.
