Advan RG2

I hate making threads like this but I kind of need to ask, does anyone make the Advan RG2? Or something close? I know Fujimi has been making the RG for some time (but I can't find it :( ) but for some reason I'd gotten it in my head that there was a new, much better set of the RG or RG2 offered recently. Am I thinking of the Hobby Design 19" A wheels? (I know they're not the same, but I'm easily confuse these days and feel pretty out of the game). I'm also hoping for something a little bigger than the old Fujimi wheel, but I know I'm probably out of luck. It'll either be the 15" Fujimi or some 20" version. Thanks, all

I was thinking that they look awfully close to Volk TE37s. Fujimi makes them in 17 (http://www.hlj.com/product/FUJ19294) and 18 (http://www.hlj.com/product/FUJ19279).

Te37s spokes are a lot bigger but close.
Aoshima make gram lights which are close but are missing a spoke.

I was thinking about modifying some TE37s but that's a lot of work for what I'm doing. I don't see any Gram Lights other than the five double-spoked ones?

How about the 370Z wheels by A Club (http://www.mediamixhobby.com.sg/shop/acrp002.html)? I think they can look really similar to the RG2s with some minor modifications.
Hope this helps.

Your best bet would be to modify a similar designed rim. Isn't the Fujimi one 17"??
Since everyone is throwing out suggestions, have you looked at the Volk Racing G2's? They're 20" but *shrug*.

The Aoshima C-West Rx-7 kit has proper 18" RGs.

Hi Willmo,
It is under development :) I already have the prototype. Embossed text on the outer ring is not really visible but in general it looks good IMO. But...
it will be 18" (similar to tamiya R34 nurburgring wheel)
cheers,
Gergo

how close are the wheels from the original Tamiya S2000 (http://www.tamiya.com/english/products/24211s2000/s2000.htm) kit?

edit: just a proper look at the real car's wheels and well, not that close...
also, are these the ones (http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10030575) you're looking for?
if it helps, I also recall seeing them on some of Fujimi's Mitsubishi LanEvo kits.

Can't wait geronimo. Any other wheels coming out? To date i could never find better casted resin wheels than yours.
Good luck will finding them or making them.

:) thank you.
But quality is not only depending on casting. i think the key is quality control after the production. I check and clean every piece before packaging. It is very time consuming but as i'm a modeler too, i know it is much better when you buy something, open the box and see somthing what could be used almost instantly and not only after hours of cleaning.
here are some spy photos of the RG2 wheel. they are not the "photo of the year" :) but maybe it is visible what it will be. It should come with tamiya tyre of R34 Nurburgring version.
When? - that i dont know :(

Beautiful! Those look great. I really like your work because you really get the look of the wheels. The big manufacturers just don't with the injection molding, but your resin casting looks fantastic. Those look just beautiful!
