Wha'dup everyone!!! I have an '87 cherokee, bought it three weeks ago. I am trying to figure out how to bust out with my own custom tail lights. I really dont like anything that I've seen by way of an aftermarket light. I am considering some plug-in replacments that connect directly into your exsisting incondesent plug. BUT what I really want is a stock lense that lights up with as many LED's that I can fit inside the stock lense. I have looked into a few ways of doing it and I think I will go with the more simple way of getting a plastic plate and drilling holes in it to mount the lights etc. Then you simply connect all the pos. leads and all the neg. leads, making a single connection for all + and - etc. I have a question about the amount of lights being effected by the amount of power they draw. From what I understand the LED light will not draw as much power naturally as an incondesent and also will not be as bright. So to compensate you all more LED lights to achive the leval of brightness you desire. At what point do the lights draw too much power or will that leval come after the number of lights that I could fit in the lense etc. I am oin a hurry today with this post so I hope my point has come accross properly. Any advise will ROCK... DRIVE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, LEDs draw much less power than incandescent bulbs.
As far as existing kits, Google is your friend. (http://www.google.com/search?q=jeep+cherokee+custom+tail+lights+led&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a)
