01 Montana Overheating *sigh*

I'm sure this has been done before, but I can't figure out how to search in this forum, so I hope ya'll will forgive me for the repeat.

Anyway....

I have a 2001 Montana and am having an overheating problem where the coolant fluid is running into the reservoir. This only happens when it's cranked and run for the first time of the day, then once the fluid goes into the motor it's fine from then on.

When this happens, the motor is not hot, but the temp gauge tops out in the red zone and the heat quits working (brrrrrrr). We have replaced the thermostat, water pump, radiator cap and have had it pressure tested and found no leaks.

We are completely baffled and frustrated beyond words! Can anyone please help???

Not sure about the "had it pressure tested, no leaks" part but what you describe is symptomatic of a bad head gasket. You can have the coolant system tested for combustion gasses which would indicate a bad head gasket.
