Friend has a 01' Grand Am,3.4L and Automatic Trans. His son did some lower Radiator damage and broke one of the trans cooler lines. I've never seen a closed transmission before.(No dip stick and owners man. said to take to dealer) Found the "Red" Plug that reads'Trans Fluid'. My question is, how much fluid do I put back into the system or where should the oil level be??? :nono:

Can anyone Help us??

There is a steel fluid level plug in the bottom of the transaxle case above the stamped oil pan. It's almost directly below the fill cap you saw.

Whit the engine running (warm, not hot) remove the plug. Add 1/2 ltr and wait aprox. 30 sec. for fluid discharge at the plug. Just like a rear axle, fill till it begins to drain out. Dexron III atf.
