OK well my transmission starting slipping the other day, it does work but i have to speed up slow. If i just press on the gas right away it wont accelerate i have to start little by little, and when its running if i let go of the gas I have to start from 0 again little by little. What could it be ? can it be repaired ? OR DO I NEED A NEW TRANSMISSION ? they are quite expensive !

I have the same problem. Mine has 166K and it's a 98. I had my mechanic add some transmission conditioner and that helped for about 2 weeks. I'm going to take it to the dealership and see if it can be flushed properly or something. Supposedly the filter is nonserviceable!

Hey Kasim.
Thanks for posting. Interesting fix and good for you... a TPS is a 'little' more affordable than tranny. How did you troubleshoot this though ??? Did it throw a computer code (either the tranny or TPS) ?
Merci,

My friend is a garage owner, and he scanned my van with his snap-on scanner and found out that the prob was the TPS..

This kind of problem, regular servicing of the transmission every 25,000 miles,
including changing the fluid and internal filter needed & also we have to regularly check the fluid levels.

you cannot change a odyssey filter with out not removing the transmission it is inside the transmission.
