I am needing to know the location of the Knock sensor on a 2004 Silverado 5.3 Any help would be very much appreaciated

They are directly below the intake, make sure to seal the new ones with silicone.

What he said. Water is usually what kill em. We had a GM tech bulletin at he dealer to replace the sensors, then make constant bead of silicone all the way around the seal at the top to keep water from going down the wells, also, take the foam inserts from the front and back of the intake once you have it off and chuck em in the trash, all they do is hold water in there. By the way, your are probably only throwing a code for one of em, but replace em both.

Not saying its your for sure, but compulsive engine washers are the usual culprits. I am a washer too, but there are certain areas to stay away from, and don't wash it then park it, wash it when you are gonna drive enough to warm it up and dry it out....
