new fuel pump and battery
I have searched the forum and think the computer or ignition is bad, would like some opinions..here are the symptoms
can be hot or cold, seems to happen more when moist or damp weather conditions...everything works accept gauges and fuel pump when this no start happens...getting no bus on dash...tried code read with key on/off 3 times ,it says P done, wiggling wires to computer does not help
when i hook cables to jump or to charger/starter it fires up...seems like just a shock is all it needs

no bus means the sensors are not communicating with the pcm. just one shorted sensor (on the bus) can bring it down. next time it happens unplug one sensor at a time and when no bus goes away that is your problem sensor. if that doesn't work then pcm could be the problem.

here is the latest.....when in no bus mode and key left on while i am checking different sensors and stuff, after 10 -15 min. you hear the fuel pump kick in and gauges work and all is good to go.
also when driving....radio,heater fan, dash lights etc.. are losing power very briefly...not going off but fan slows, radio blinks, dash lights dim
i think i am going to get a new pcm and see what happens...just can't find anything wrong

before you do anything read this thread cover to cover. some symtoms match yours (such as wiggling the pcm connector) Mike

Did you ever figure it out? My issue was the main fuse in the box of fuses under the hood on the druver's side.

checked everything again and came up with nothing...this time after about an hour or so with key left on while checking everything it took off and started...
left it overnight, went back today and no bus again....unplugged all the sensors and again after an hour or so with key in the on position it was good to go even with all the sensors unplugged..
the reman pcm i put in back in march took care of this issue...no problems until now with a little over 12,000 miles logged since
what are the odds the pcm failed again?
if it is pcm again what is causing constent failure??
any thoughts would be appreciated
