Hi guys, name is marc from canada. ive had my pontiac wave (same as aveo?) for about 2 years now, have not had a problem until these past 2 days.first problem is.CEL came on, ive checked the gas tank cover and the light went off afterwards. then 2 days later, CEL comes on again and while im driving. All warning signs came on, battery, oil, etc. and the car died. It did start right back up but the CEL is stil on.would any1 be able to help me with ths problem? Ive taken it to a dealership and they want $150 jsut to check the code and honestly, i dont have the money like that to dish out jsut for a "diagnostic" and pay more for the repair.2nd problem is.battery was disconnected a while ago. and the radio is now dead. unfortunately, the car didnt come with the radio code since i got it used in 2007. also, the time is stuck at 1:00 and always resets at that time when the door opens and closes. any help would be much appreciated.

Welcome to AF!
Don't know if you have an Autozone or Advance auto parts in Toronto. If you check around on the phone you should be able to find a local parts house that can read your Check Engine Light for codes. Do this and come back at us and we will be able to tell you just what is needed to comply with the code.
Look into your manual page 3-43. Follow the instrucitons as follows:
To enter a new radio code do the following:
Reset the radio by removing and replacing the radio fuse. That should clear it so you can enter a new one.
One of these code numbers should reset your radio:
2253 3116 2152 4362 4316
4316 4513 1156 2145 1156
6451 6361 5241 3346 1165
3241 4524 5813 3265 5624
2453 3462 5445 8253 1156
2346 4853 5253 8253 1156
2346 4853 5253 1325 4136
3116 3221 5312 2654 4314
After resetting the radio code your clock should be able to be reset for your current time.

There are 2 fuses on on the driver side fuse box for both clock and radio. I managed to pull one out and take look at it but the other one. The one at the bottom section of the fuse box, in it's little black enclosure is so hard to pull out, I can get the whole black piece with the fuse in it to just move forward but not fully come out
am I suppose to pull out both fuses? And I supposed to pull outnthat black case together with the fuse in it?

It looks like the entire plastic fuse holder comes out. Just depress the tab. Then, when you get the holder out you can push the fuse out from the back.

If you are unable to get the fuse out, just take the positive terminal on the battery loose for 5 minutes, then put it back on.
