Ruptured fuel tank - dumb question

I was in an accident the other day which ruptured my fuel tank. It appears that that is the most major of the damage. My car is an '05, less than 68,000 miles on it, and in really good condition. The assessor hasn't looked it to tell me what the damage is yet, but I'm kind of freaking out. If it's just the fuel tank, do you think they will total it? My fingers are crossed that they won't.
