i hate to ask...gm maf & maft questions

what all do i need? and how does it all hook up? does anyone have any pics? i have a 91' bone stock twin turbo.

this is what im looking at...

2g eclipse maft - $190
gm maf 3.5" - $99-$125


do i need any of the extensions or a 2 piece Y pipe?

If the car is bone stock I wouldn't worry about a MAFT just yet. Thats for something further down the line with the ability to run blow thru. Upgrade turbos and fuel first. You'll likely need a SAFC or something similar to go along with the MAFT as they arent as precise as the AFC's and make it difficult to get the tune correct.

alright...the main reasoning behind this is because i want to run my bov to atmos...i think im just going to go with the turbosmart universal dual port bov to see if i like the way it sounds and if my car wont lean out between shifts in 50/50 (50 recirc/50 atmos).

No offense but running a MAFT just to run open atmostphere is a little on the stupid side. There are plenty of good recirc blow off valves that still sound good. The point of a BOV is not to sound cool though, its to keep your turbo alive.

i totally agree...but i figured if i go this route then one day when i do upgrade the turbos and injectors i would have the gm maf & maft in already to tune it.
