Removal of cigarette lighter

I have an 05 Ford Escape and I'm trying to remove the cigarette lighter socket that is located on the center dash panel right next to the passenger Air Bag indicator. I have the center dash panel removed, but unable to figure out how to get this simply little socket apart. Some sites I've found say to unscrew it however I don't think this is correct.

You unscrew it from the back.
