After two blown rear glass windows and no answer from chevy
or glass company,I might have found the problem.
It looks like the spot welds near the left hinge of tail gate separated and changed the shape of the tailgate so that the
glass ,when latched, hit the top screw of a plastic trim panel
and put too much flex on it.
Has anyone ever seen this?????

I haven't broken my back window yet but I was having problems with my trim panel hitting the roof when I opened the glass or hatch, it only happened when it was cold outside, I had to remove the panel and do a little bending on the 2 center support bars of the panel to allow enough room for it to clear the roof. The panel is hard enough to break the window if the panel catches the roof and binds against the glass.
