Transaxle fluid check location 5 speed 1986 Fiero

where do you check the transaxle fluid on a 5 speed 1986 Fiero (4 cyl)

the location that my owners manual shows is wrong (nothing there) the descriptions I've read online don't match?????????????

Possible you're getting mixed information since there were two 5 speed trannys installed. The Muncie 282 and the Izuzu.

Capacity is 5.3 pints US for Muncie, 5.4 Izuzu.
I've attached pics for both the level check and drain plugs. Looks like the Muncie had two versions of the level check for Fieros, one just a plug and the other a tube and mini stick.

thanks, I kept looking around the shifter and my owners book shows a plug just below it, your response helped alot.

Turns out my fluid was ok, it's my master cylinder thats got a slow leek, in the cold weather its worse and the trans is hard to shift. I guess I'll be changing the master cylinder next
