White F1 spotted in Sheerwater

and was spotted at the test track too

Hope this is the right place for McLaren spotting....Coming along the M3 this afternoon passed Longcross test track there was a brilliant white F1 with the doors up parked next to a covered trailer in the carpark, don't know if a magazine is shooting for an article or someone having a hoon around, made my friday:)

White car could also be chassis #006.

But something about the timing here has me guessing #006. We'll have to wait and see.

That silver car looks like it has a bottle of wax on its fender.

Not seeing your bottle of wax, but now that I have zoomed in on the picture it appears there's a car cover bunched up on the roof, and the mirrors are giving a pretty clear indication that is chassis #001. :cool:

That looks like the old mclaren buildings in woking town centre, i thought everything had moved to the snazy out of town new place or are F1 operations still based at the old place???:confused:

F1's are still serviced and refitted at Genesis instead of the MTC then?

001 isn't (or at least wasn't) owned by McLaren if thats what you're assuming

That's not the assumption at all. What I am saying is the mirror in that photo looks clearly to me to be the Citroen part, and #001 is the only silver F1 left that wears those, hence that's #001 sitting there.

Thats what i was getting at, i thought the entirety of Mclaren operations had moved to the technical centre, but i guess not judging by these pics, anyone know for sure?? are f1s still looked after at genesis then??

I believe F1 Customer Care remains at the original location, and it is also shared by portions of the development group for the MP4-12C now.

purple mclaren f1 spotted in shearwater seems like chassis #025 (george harrison's former car) appears to have a dark purple hue :eek:

First thought was #025 as well, but I think it was the tinting on the glass changing the hue. As the video went on and the angle of light changed around the car it appeared more like #061 with a bit of dirt on it.

Love the video description - I wish I worked across the street from the old factory even if the employees are "twats". :D

The windows through which these shots were taken look dirty / have alot of reflection in them, imbalancing the colour - I'd go with #061 too.....
