1998 Neon fuel pump not working, air bags were deployed in accident

I had an accident where both airbags deployed. Since then, the engine does not fire. I know a couple people who have automotive training but do not have time to work on my car. They seem to think that the fuel pump is not working (my brother says it is supposed to make a sound when you put the key in and turn but he says mine is not making that sound).

They think that Dodge may have set up the car to disengage the fuel pump when airbags deploy. I also had a Chrysler technician tell me this may be the case but did not say how to re-engage it.

I'm wondering if anyone knows how to re-engage the fuel pump.

Thank you

I know some ford's have a shut off located in the trunk that has to be reset after an impact. If applicable to your car probably would say in the owner's manual as does the ford's.

Just finished replacing a fuel pump in a dakota truck that had no fuel pump operation after it got hit from the side. The accident didn't damage the fuel tank but the pump in the tank was snapped in half.
