loud knocking need help!

got 99 k1500 and theres a loud knocking high up on engine but dont know what it is hoping it not as bad as i think can anyone help?

ok little more info when the truck is running and i give it gas from on throttle at the intake and i can feel the knocking through the top and it get louder when i give it gas but the knocking isn't at the same rpm as the rev. oh and you can hear it better on the driver side. so any help would be good. thanks!:banghead:

remove the valve cover inspect when engine is running..could be a broken spring or rocker bolts

or a collapsed lifter. Run your truck with the valve cover off and at idle, touch the top of each rocker. You should be able to find the knock.
