2002 TB Oil gauge acting up

2002 Chevy Trailblazer - oil pressure going from 40 - 0 and back. No engine noise. Cycle egnition key and oil pressure is back for who knows how long then acts up again until ignition cycled. Installed new sending unit, still does it. Wanting to install an after market gauge, but can't figure out where to get a "T" that has the same threads as the sending unit. Any suggestions.

The guages are a known problem. They have put a recall on the silverado, but not on the trailblazer. I contacted gm about the problem and they agreed to replace the cluster of guages. I had to pay for the part and gm picked up the labor. It was about $125 for all the guages to be replaced.
