Hello.

I have a 1995 S-10 Blazer.
It will start correctly about 95% of the time.
However, every once in a while, it will start, and instantly cough itself out.
After it does this, i try to crank it again, and it does the same thing.

Always on the third time, it will not even start. It will just crank, crank, and crank.

Although, After i disconnect the pos. battery cable, and re-connect it for about ten seconds, it will start just fine until it does it again.

What's strange? No check engine light.

What could this be?
Thank you.

What engine?

Any codes?

How is the tune up end?
Mileage since last tune up?

How is the fuel pressure when no start?
Is it losing spark when no start?

4.3 Vortec

No codes at all.

Tune up end?

And it just had the engine completely cleaned, re-built and installed about 5k miles ago. It's been doing it almost since it was re-built.

Fuel pressure = 62 psi.

Haven't checked the spark.

When no start check for lose of spark to plugs and lose of cranking fuel pressure.
