What type of salary can I expect with a MASTER AUTOMOTIVE & DIESEL TECHNICIAN?

whatever the minimum starting wage is per flag hour in your area. At my shop, I don't care what your credentials are, I start guys at $17 per flag hour. If you can kick out the hours at 100% or better efficiency you go to $24 real quick. If you keep chugging out 50 hours per 2-week period you'll stay at $17-20 per flag hour until you improve or I let you go. :)

I have seen guys at $24/hr make only $12k/year, but I've seen $30/hr techs make almost 6 figures. Its all up to your ability and talent.

Top line techs in NYC in the union, working at a dealer ship, can get up to 30/hr or some work on 60/40.
