What is this?????

I found this near my custom CAI when I removed it. I was in the process of replacing lower intake and installing ER rockers. I think it may have been a part of my OE airbox but need to make sure before I go any further with putting it back together.

Ok thanks Bob- that is what I thought. I have not had the OE airbox in there for about a year si it must have been jammed in somewhere.. I put it all back together, Man the ER rockers with the HV3 and wizaired are loud, sounds like some chattering. Everything is put back together and torqued properly, just a little louder than I thought it would be. Ill put it on the Modis this week to see if there is any knock.

It is not uncommon to get valvetrain sounds you never heard before when it was stock. Especially with Extended Range rockers or even high ratio roller rockers due to the increased lift and mechanical changes. I don't get any chattering but a whirring sound with my SLP 1.8 roller rockers. The UIM Plenum HV3 insert and CAI shouldn't cause any mechanical noise but obviously you will hear the intake system when accelerating or hitting the throttle.
