The return of Musashi...One1

Sup to the oldschoolers.

So I've been taking it easy for about a year now. Run the Goat at this new 1/8 track they got round here but try not to rip on the streets. Not cause Im scared and not cause Im a dad now and well I have no clue why I just dont care for it anymore. Its hard to get a good race these days, everything is so far below or so much higher on the food chain, its hard for a good match.

So tonight Im cruising home, got my wife sitting shotgun, my 2 year old in the back seat. I get off the highway and as Im turning onto the street the car that was sitting at the light behind me turns sharp and tries to cut out from behind me and overtake. Problem is theres little room and the chance of him rubbing is high. So I punch it and give him room. Well he guns it and tries to pass me. Okay...no! I dont like to be passed just because I show courtesy and you think Im "trying" you. I get to a light and the guy pulls up next to me. Its a blue Mazda of some kind, I dont care!

Light goes green and I take off light in 1st. The dude guns it off the line! I slip into 2nd somewhere around 4K so Its not really pushing but I walk him in second and pass him by about a full car. I hold it up to redline and then slam it into 3rd. By the top of 3rd I have like 5-6 cars on him.

The dude pulls up next to me at the next light and I see its a Mazda 3.
me: ( I lower my window and stare past his tinted glass).
him: (lowers the window) sup?
me: you turbo?
him: no!
me: Bahh! (looks away and raises window)
me wife: you are such a dick!
me: yeah and he has no idea what im driving. Im insulted!

The light goes green and he guns it again. I gun it in 1st and just sorta sit there, slam into 2nd and just sorta still barely moving forward, tires loose just slipping like if I was on ice or something. Funny thing is my tires are gone. Like GONE! I have no thread on my tires seriously! and the whole time we where like neck and neck. I eventually hooked them up at like mid range of 3rd and left him behind.

yeah I know, its a crappy run and an unfair matchup but hey, life isnt fair is it?

Im not much for numbers man. I remember I did the 1/4 in 13.2 right after my kid was born and I did that on a full load with crappy Yokahama AVP100 tires inflated all the way to 37 psi so That was the last time I looked at a pass-slip.

Whenever I do gun it these days I dont care much for pass times, I just aim to finish before the other bloke.

Well Stig...my favorite color is black...I gotta admit I am tempted to trade. I havent done anything else to the goat though. Shes still at about 450 bhp and still chugging gas like Cassies chugs beer.

If Matty is offerin up the G8 for your pony, I'd take it (chances are you have lower miles, muahahaha). Ahhh, chances are the minivan is "safer" in some peoples eyes. So why not find yourself an SUV atleast? Hear Squires Turbo Systems make some decent kits for Tahoes and what not. :biggrin:

I've thought of trading in the GTO Civ man, but only if I can afford to trade it for a 'Marro SS. The GTO is great but you can feel the age on it. Either I spend a preatty penny on sprussing up the suspension or I break for a new ride. we'll see.

Yeah they are selling cheep! Not the best built car and not really a good looker but for what you pay you get alot of fun. Think Clarkson powersliding along a dry landing stip fun. :iceslolan
